With
some of the best features Northern California has to offer, a trip to
Salt Point State Park is sure to bring a round of "awesomes!" to any school
group. With expansive views of the coastline, excellent tide-pools, and
several accessible hiking trails nearby, this destination provides a variety
of activities for young explorers, with the ease of front-country camping.
Nature Hike
Our experienced leaders will guide your group along
the coastal trail taking in the sweeping panoramic views in every direction.
After picnicking and some game time in a secluded sandy cove, the trail
will lead us into the trees where we will keep our eyes open for deer,
and other wildlife that call the forest home. Students will learn about
Leave-No -Trace wilderness ethics and how to travel lightly on the land.
Tide-pool
Exploration
When the tide is low we will carefully lead your
group to some of the most amazing tide-pool areas on the Northern Coast.
Salt Point has some of the most diverse underwater creatures in the world,
and we will do our best to see them all! Without disturbing the animals,
we will hunt for crabs, anemones, sea stars, and cucumbers and learn about
how they survive in such an extreme habitat.
Lifeschool

much of the needed backpacking equipment. Students are responsible for
