Lifeschool Summer 2006 Schedule

Desolation was one of the first places Lifeschool went with teens, and we’ve gone back every year since! This amazing area is a backpacking gem just West of Lake Tahoe in the world famous Sierra Nevada Mountains.

We will hike over the granite wonderland and marvel at the scenery that can be found when getting out in the backcountry.

We’ll climb to Ralston Peak to take a look at the view and explore endless pristine swimming holes in the several lakes that the area hosts.

Get “Rocked” learning and practicing new bouldering techniques while your new and trusty friends spot you from below.

Next you're off to the American River, the perfect place to get acquainted with whitewater as you shoot through exciting Class II and III rapids. We'll leisurely make our way down the river enjoying the scenery, take a few dips in the river, and instigate some friendly water fights with our paddles. If there's time, we'll even check out some natural water slides known only to a select few. A day on the river is the most refreshing end to this amazing 7 day journey.
